Plight of female vets differs from that of male soldiers

America's female soldiers have it just as tough as their male comrades in Iraq. Just ask Sgt. Antoinette V. Scott, who ended up in Walter Reed Army Medical Center after her vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device. As part of Women's History Month, American Observer Contributor Nathalie Laville explores the effects of combat on American female soldiers in Iraq. Laville talks to victims of post-traumatic stress disorder, many of whom experience anger and depression after returning home. She also looks at Veterans Affairs programs for women, and the special plight felt by veterans who are also mothers.
