Sharing peace in a time of honor

Tibetan monks display riual at the National Cathedral

Tibetan monks pray for peace at the National Cathedral. As part of their Compassion Tour in the United States, Tibetan Buddhist mnks from the Dalai Lama's Namgyal Monastery in India gathered at the National Cathedral to build a sand mandala. The Elders still fighting for peace

Former President Jimmy Carter spoke at American University on Wednesday about his recent trip to Darfur. He traveled with a new global organization, The Elders. Carter shared the goals of his expeditiono as well as his predictions about the outcome of the upcoming peace talks in Libya. He also criticized recent U.S. presidential administrations' attempts at installing peace in the troubled region.
