The New England Patriots still undefeated, but barely

Monday night, the New England Patriots barely managed to maintain their undefeated record of 12-0. It was luck that the Patriots won. The Baltimore Ravens all but won the game, but with so many controversies and apparent bad calls, the Ravens and sports analysts are questioning the game.

Tom Brady made 18 completions out of 38 attempts last
night against the Baltimore Ravens.
In the final minutes, the Ravens were beating the Patriots 24-21. Then with a 1:30 left in the game, the Ravens were celebrating the win and the Patriots hadn’t snapped the ball and an assistant coach of the Ravens called timeout. Play was stopped.
Patriots’ Tom Brady threw an 8-yard touchdown pass to Jabar Gaffney with 44 seconds left to win the game. The Patriots were up 27-24. The Patriots, as they have been doing for the past few games, don’t really play well until the end of the game. There was no question that the Ravens should have beaten the Patriots, yet with the timeout and the touchdown by Gaffney, it seems that the Patriots don’t need to bring their A-game until the end.
This week they play the Pittsburgh Steelers. Many people think the Steelers are the team that will hand the Patriots their first loss of the season. Both teams are good, but the Steelers are known for their defense and had “Big Ben” in his rookie year going 15-1. So they aren’t too intimidated by the Patriots.
There have only been six teams in NFL history to be 12-0. Before the Patriots, the last team to win 12 games was the Indianapolis Colts.

The Patriots will face the Pittsburgh Steelers at Gillette Stadium
this Sunday. The Steelers’ defense is currently ranked No. 1 in the NFL,
with the fewest yards and points allowed.
