Business is Back at Eastern Market

The Eastern Market has swapped red brick for white plastic, but the food’s still as fresh.
Vendors say business is back after the April fire that gutted parts of the grand old building. The market’s South Hall — a 134-year-old structure designed by Washington’s influential Adolf Cluss — is being rebuilt. In the meantime, vendors are preparing for the holiday season in their new temporary digs.
