Get Your Craft On

The D.C. Craft Mafia is hosting a handmade craft sale for shoppers who want a head start on the holiday gift buying.

The Unusual Suspects Holiday Arts and Crafts Festival will be held at the Anastasi Room in Bethesda, Md., on Saturday, Nov. 3.

Over 50 vendors will attend the event. A $1 donation to the Washington Humane Society will get you a door-prize ticket.

The event runs from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Anastasi Room, located at 5020 Battery Lane in Bethesda.

Natural Cures

Head over to the U.S. Botanical Gardens on Sunday, Nov. 4, to take part in a demonstration on herbal remedies to stay healthy during the fall and winter.

After learning a few things from Anya Syrikin, you should be able to concoct your own herbal syrup to help cure coughs and sore throats as the weather gets chillier.

The event runs from 1 to 4:30 p.m. and costs $12 for non-members, and $10 for members.

The U.S. Botanical Gardens is located at 100 Maryland Ave. SW, and is easily accessible from the Federal Center or Capitol South Metro stations.

Wild Things on Stage

Relive one of your favorite childhood stories as “Where the Wild Things Are” takes to the stage.

The Washington Ballet will perform the Maurice Sendak’s dance version of the book this weekend only, so be sure to get your tickets fast.

They are going to perform at the Warner Theatre, located at 513 13^th St. N.W.
