More and more Indians are settling into Washington and the suburbs of Virginia and Maryland. In the last 15 years, the Indian population of the greater metropolitan area has doubled, to more than 100,000. American Observer correspondent Jayshal Sood, who is from India, reports that much of the growth is attributed to Indian students who find jobs after graduation and stay to raise families. Out of this growth has emerged a vibrant Indian community, which includes restaurants, theaters, groceries, and even television stations.
